There are two starting point to reach the summit of the Batur volcano e. g from Pura Jati and Toya Bungkah. Trekking from Toya Bungkah will pass a lot of trees and darker. From here we need about two hours getting to the top but most people starting from Pura Jati. Duration through Pura Jati almost the same about two hours to reach the summit of Batur Volcano.
When you got to the start point local guides will give you a torch and start walking through dark. Go on to the first stop there are some resources of natural hot steams inside the volcano. It is good place to get warm or just cooked some eggs and bananas for breakfast. There is also a bat cave. It is hard to describe when you got to the top after you climbing about two hours.
